First a brief introduction - my name is April and I’m the Front Office Manager at the Berlin Grande Hotel located in beautiful Berlin, Ohio. Some of you may already know me from staying here at the hotel, but for those who don’t, a bit about myself: I’ve been with the hotel for over 2 years now and my position and responsibilities have changed drastically during that time. What initially started out as a part time position managing the hotel’s social media quickly morphed during the early days of the pandemic to my present-day role. I’m not a native of the area (although my ancestors are, maybe that will be another story for another time) and admittedly it has been quite a challenge for me to become familiar with the area and all it has to offer. There truly is so much to do and see! It is my sincere desire that this blog be educational, informative and most of all – fun!
We receive a lot of phone calls and questions from guests and visitors to Holmes County looking for recommendations for “must-see” attractions, the best places to eat, cultural points of interest, the best activities for families with children and hidden or out-of-the-way gems that are some of the best-kept secrets in the area.
With that said, Doug (our General Manager and Commander-In-Chief) and I decided that the very best way to let you know about all of the incredible experiences just waiting to be discovered in Holmes County was to let us be your personal tour guides and start this blog.
